Joel Zimmerman, King of the Trolls, has done it again. The internet was quick to guess that this Nyan Cat paint job would be the result after Deadmau5 posted a preview pic of his Ferrari 458 in a brand new shade of sky blue:
The new paint job, done skillfully by Sekanskin, features Joel's two cats on each side of the car: Meowingtons and of course Miss Nyan Cat! It definitely drew polarized opinions from fans. After tens of thousands of people published their responses in social media, Deadmau5 responded with this quip:
"if you think the car's bad... you should see what i did to my bathroom wallpaper. Isn't it fun to do things your own way and just not give a fuck? try it, you'll like it. i promise. :D"
We can't wait to see the first coffee run video in this bad boy!
Why Ravers Love Kerli May 04 2016
Kerli's appeal doesn't stop at her angelically creepy, pitch-perfect voice, or her vivid and unique appearance (which she fondly refers to as 'Bubblegoth'). This Estonian beauty's crowning feature is her genuine, deep love and appreciation for her fans (MoonChildren or MoonBabies).
"These are all the kandi bracelets that MoonChildren have given me as gifts. I told them to always bring me a kandi bracelet when I'm playing a show. These are all from different fans and they're all handmade with love. Sometimes I play shows and I just put them all on so I feel like they're all with me."
Love her. Thanks to Kerli Daily for creating this .gif set!

The 20 Best Fan Made and Official Mau5 Heads May 04 2016
In honor of Joel Zimmerman's 33rd birthday, we've compiled a list of the best fan made and official Deadmau5 heads around!
20. Cosplay Mau5heads
Kathy (a Jo-Ann Fabrics employee) and her boyfriend rocked these custom fan made mau5heads at Megacon 2013. Looks like she's putting that employee discount to good use.
19. Collage Mau5head
This unique fan made mau5head was created by cargu001 on Deviantart and is covered with magazine clippings and stickers.
18. Black Carbon Fiber Mau5head
Joel wore this fast & lightweight looking head two years ago during the 2012 Grammy Awards. He also wore a matching shirt that gave away Skrillex's personal cellphone number.
17. Spidermau5 and Deadpoolmau5
Joel is a huge nerd, so it's no surprise that some of his fans are as well. Here are two of them goofing off at San Diego Comic Con 2013.
Mau5fan Lance Thackeray designed this as his entry for Joel's mau5head contest. The winner would have their design crafted into reality by 2Story Props wizards Wayne Neumaier and David Reime, which Deadmau5 would then wear during performances.
This fan made head made an appearance during Deadmau5's Halloween performance at Petco Park in San Diego in 2011.
14. Classic Deadmau5
Joel designed the first mau5 head ever in CAD during the late 1990s, rendered in 3D, as a logo for his music. His music became very popular, but this signature red mau5head gave him widespread visual recognition during the new millennia.
This was Joel's kickass Halloween costume in 2012, inspired by the 1987 British horror film Hellraiser.
Deadmau5 is no stranger to sponsorships. Here is his custom neon yellow Puma mau5head, painted by Plunge Productions. The dots mimic Puma's aerated leather sneakers.
Who can forget this super creepy all-black velvet mau5 head which was one of Joel's signature looks in 2011?
10. LED Mau5head
With 168 programmable LED lights, this mau5head was the centerpiece for Joel's Meowington's Hax tour. The visuals on the mau5head even matched the accompanying LED display on stage. Joel lamented that this head was one of the most hot and heavy in his collection (and the most difficult to wear).
Joel must have been feeling fanciful on the day that he dreamed up this New Year's themed mau5head.
8. Wild African Mau5
"A wild African mau5 appears!" --Joel. This fuzzy creation is one of the rarest and least viewed of all the mau5 heads.
7. Mirror Mau5
This beautiful fanmade mau5head made its appearance at Deadmau5's sold out performance at Red Rocks Amphitheater during the summer of 2011.
6. Mario & Luigi Mau5
Our friend Nillos made these amazing Mario and Luigi themed mau5heads that light up on the inside!
5. Chrome Mau5head
Slick and shiny, this head was made to match Joel's album artwork for ">album title goes here<." Here he is with some Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers, in case you forgot Joel is from Canada.
This hardcore steampunk mau5head was made by fan CharybdusRage on Deviantart!
3. Spiderman Mau5head
One of the many jaw-dropping mau5heads made by Tom Strait of AirAsylum Kustoms. His paint jobs are beautiful.
Magicked into life by Robotic Arts, these mau5head robots are the spawn of Joel's hard hitting song, "Professional Griefers." Its mau5 counterparts are Mechamau5 1 and 2.
Said to be one of Joel's favorites, this mau5head features a joystick and all of his favorite video games, like Space Invaders, Minecraft, and Super Mario Bros. It's blacklight reactive and is definitely our favorite mau5head out there.
Kandi for a Cause Donates $2000 to Unicef May 04 2016
Thanks to more than 25 volunteers who donated handmade kandi works of art and Kandi for a Cause by Little Black Diamond, we've raised $2000 for charity this holiday season and donated the money to Unicef! We chose this organization specifically because the purpose of this fundraiser is to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan / Yolanda in the Philippines. Unicef has a specific fund set aside for the survivors, which you can read more about here.
We reached our sales goal of $1000, which was graciously matched and doubled by Unicef's donation program, bringing the total donation to $2000.
Kandi for a Cause is Little Black Diamond's way of spreading PLUR culture outside of festivals and raves and into the surrounding community. With the help of our volunteers, we sell kandi as a fundraiser, never for profit.
To all those involved, your support has been outstanding on both ends--thank you for helping us do good deeds!

Though Pasquale Rotella has been oddly quiet about White Wonderland so far, we know it's a go based on Dash Berlin's performance schedule (he will be making an appearance in Anaheim, California on New Year's Eve). Steve Angello is confirmed for this event as well, and Tritonal is rumored to be apart of the lineup.
OMFG! (San Diego, CA and Los Angeles, CA)

While LED tends to book the same acts for every rave (like Brazzabelle and GTA), they've added a stacked lineup to their San Diego New Year's Eve celebration with Boys Noize, Diplo, Laidback Luke, Nero, Nervo, Ookay, Bro Safari, Cole Plante, DJ Snake, Hendrix and a personal favorite of mine, Feed Me. Just like previous years, they are hosting a crazy double header with the celebration culminating on NYE. The Los Angeles OMFG! NYE also shares the exact same lineup as their San Diego event.
Snowglobe (South Lake Tahoe, CA)
Lake Tahoe Community College
December 29th - January 1st, 2:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Tickets are currently $183.92 including service fees. Buy them here
All ages event, kids 10 and under free!
This event is outdoors, literally taking place amongst the beautiful trees and snow of South Lake Tahoe. There will be outdoor heaters present, but leave your shuffling shorts and rave bikini at home and dress warmly for your triple header New Year's celebration. Besides the amazing scenery, the stacked lineup includes Tiesto, Kaskade, Cut copy, Snoop Dogg (I'm not calling him Snoop Lion, it's just feels wrong), Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Kill Paris, Gramatik and others!
Decadence (Denver, CO)
Colorado Convention Center
December 30th - December 31st, 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $170.06 for two days or $89.60 for the 31st only, available here.
Ages 18 and up.
With two stages, two nights and a star-stacked lineup including Bassnectar, Tiesto, Dada Life, Break Science, Nervo, Pretty Lights, Above & Beyond, 12th Planet and others, Decadence is definitely the go to NYE event for Colorado.
POP NYE (Oakland, CA)
December 31st, 6:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.
Tickers are currently $120 plus service fees here.
Ages 18 and up to enter, 21 and up to drink.
POP NYE (along with White Wonderland) has been the quintessential trance-oriented NYE celebration for several years now. Nero, Bingo Players, Madeon and Moguai are scheduled to perform that night, along with the freshly formed duo New World Punx (Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz).
Hard Fest Day of the Dead Set Times and Map May 04 2016
EDM runs LA! We're so excited to rage at Hard Day of the Dead next weekend. As always with Hard events, the lineup is completely stacked from head to toe. We recommend arriving as early at the venue as possible to avoid long entry delays!
For those of us who missed out on Kaskade's Redux Tour (or for those of us who went but wish to relive the memory), Grant shares his experience with Kaskade's exclusive, sold out show at Voyeur nightclub in San Diego, California.
Kaskade Tweeted, “But I feel a little guilty w everyone glued to their computers. On a weekend. Go get a burrito. You have time.
#EnjoySundaySD.” No burrito for me! I checked Kaskade's Twitter page incessantly after his Tweet at 8:34 a.m. Did I trust that I had time? Not really. So I defied Kaskade's commands, and stalked his Twitter for the next six and a half hours. I had a sociology paper to write anyway.
At precisely 3:00 p.m., he Tweeted the link and I scrambled like a madman for my tickets to Kaskade's exclusive "It’s You, It’s Me Redux Tour." The waiting game paid off--tickets were sold out in minutes, and two of them were mine. I was a happy man. All I had to do now was wait for Friday to experience something magical…and trust me, it was magical.
I met my friends for happy hour drinks at T.G.I. Friday's in the Gaslamp before heading to Kaskade's show at Voyeur. We stood in line for about fifteen minutes. There were a wide assortment of people, many of whom were not aware of Voyeur's fancy club dress code.
Personally, I don’t care for Voyeur. The entire club is usually cramped, everyone is packed shoulder to shoulder on the dance floor and the upstairs balcony area feels like an afterthought. The VIP bottle service tables are great...if you have an extra five grand lying around. Tonight was no different. Despite the lack of 'intimacy' Kaskade had promised with his small club tour (it felt like there were more than 500 people packed in the venue), the next three hours were indeed magical.
Kaskade kicked off his set with his tour's namesake song, "It’s You, It’s Me." My friends and I became instantly immersed in his music. I lost my group after an hour but spent the night dancing happily as Kaskade dropped song after song filled with pure deep house bliss. I loved hearing him mix his most popular singles with deep retro beats, including current hits like "Llove" and "Eyes."
The crowd and I only stopped dancing when Kaskade spoke to us for a minute. He said it was good to be back, and that he was excited because his San Diego show was the final stop in his redux tour. We discovered San Diego is near and dear to Kaskade's heart as he shared a brief history of the shows he's played here. He also said thank you, and told us he loved us. Then it was back to nonstop dancing.
It felt like everyone knew every lyric to every song he played that night.. It was bone-chilling to hear the entire crowd belt out "Be Still" and "Angel On My Shoulder." Other notable songs he played were "Everything,"
4AM," "Pose," "We Don’t Stop," and the goosebump-inducing "Move For Me."
Then Kaskade asked if we wanted to hear one more song. The crowd and I replied with a resounding yes, and he dropped his classic collaboration with Deadmau5, "I Remember," to close out the night.
I didn't know what to expect walking into this event, but after experiencing his deep house set, I would do anything to go back. Kaskade's immersive music, the loyal crowd and the beautiful atmosphere combined to make this a magical evening. Plenty of the people left that night still "waiting for the drop," but maybe, just maybe, those people will one day come to appreciate a real DJ legend playing a real, deep, and down to earth set that drowned their senses.
You can download the leaked MP3 files by clicking this link:
It's a pretty mellow collection of songs with lots of introspection, retro funk beats and of course that sweet bass guitar! If you're enjoying Daft Punk's new sounds, please buy the album when it becomes available and support the artists on May 21st.
